Let's Get Crafty!

Did you know you can 'draw' with your sewing machine and create pictures?  Neither did I until I met with our sewing tutor Pippa and she explained how easy it is!

It is suitable for beginners and for those who would like to progress that little bit further with their basic sewing skills.  Its fabulous for creating wall art, as above, or creating the front of a cushion, or bag.  Whatever project you create in this workshop, you will be able to take this way with you at the end of the day.

Its a great way of using favourite scraps of fabrics and reflecting a favourite image through your free motion stitching.

We will be able to supply lots of templates so please do not worry if you are stuck for an idea, but feel free to bring along any photos or magazine cuttings for inspiration.

Also not only would this make a very unique present for someone but how lovely to be able to use your free motion pictures for your own home decor!

This is one workshop I am definitely going to be trying to squeeze into....or if full, (because I have a feeling this workshop will be sold out) watch from the sidelines!

We will provide our own workshop Singer sewing machines, and you are certainly welcome to bring your own if you prefer, but it would help if you had a go at freehand stitching on your machine beforehand as due to every machine being slightly different, Pippa cannot spend much time with machines she is not familiar with.....

The next 'Free Motion' Sewing Workshops with Pippa for March are the 10th, 13th 20th and 27th.  These workshops are £70 which includes all your materials and use of equipment, together with an in-house lunch, refreshments and cake.......Bookings can be taken over the phone when payment can also be taken.    If you introduce a friend to this workshop, you will also receive a £10 discount, and if you found you had a group that wished to do this together, then you would receive £10 off for each extra person!!  A great excuse to do something a little bit different and treat yourself to some 'me' time!

Floral Wedding Designs Workshop - March Saturday 8th

We are so lucky to have such talented tutors who work with us and who can transfer their experience and amazing skills to all who participate in our workshops.

  

 Jo Richards and Helen Boyt are two of these fabulous tutors who are at the top of their profession with teaching and entering national floral awards, including the Hampton Court Flower & Chelsea Flower Shows and winning too!

Although this particular floral workshop is being promoted as a "Floral Wedding Design" Workshop, it is ideal for all beginners and anyone who would love to learn the "tricks of the trade".  Our flower arranging workshops are designed to be friendly, creative and at the same time relaxing.  Also at the end of the day you can take home all your beautiful arrangements!

We also provide within the fee of our 1 day floral design workshop, refreshments, cake, and an 'in-house" lunch whilst listening to one of our live pianists.....what could be nicer!
